Maws Craft Centre is in the surviving courtyard buildings of the former Maw & Co Victorian tileworks (factory built 1883; wider site largely demolished 1974–1977, with the courtyard ranges restored and reused as studios in the early 1980s). Because these are historic buildings, some areas have steps, uneven surfaces, narrow doorways and limited space, and not all accessibility features can be fully adapted. The cafe is accessible and there is access to a disabled toilet.
